There are several methods you can use to achieve this.
Method 1: Using the MTN Me2U service.
To be able to share credit with another MTN user, you have to use the MTN Me2U service.
But before that, you need to register for the service. See how.
How to Transfer Airtime from MTN to MTN
- Dial *198# (this is the short code to transfer MTN credit)
- Enter option 1 to activate
- Enter a new four-digit PIN. (use your mobile money PIN for easy remembrance)
- Re-enter the 4-digit PIN
- You’ve successfully registered for the MTN Me2U service.
Now let’s see how to transfer credit to another MTN number in Ghana using the Me2U service.
- Dial *198#
- Enter option 2 (transfer)
- Enter the recipient’s number
- Enter the amount you wish to send to the person
- Enter the decimal value if applicable (example 1.20, the decimal value is 20)
- Enter your 4-digit Me2U pin code
- Press 1 to confirm the transaction.
- You’ll receive a confirmatory message indicating that airtime transfer was successful.

- Enter option 3 (airtime and bundles)
- Enter option 1 (airtime)
- Choose option 2 (others)
- Enter amount
- Enter the recipient’s number

- Enter your MTN mobile money pin to complete the transaction.
