This post is going be short as I am going to show you how to transfer airtime from MTN Mobile Money to Vodafone.

It very simple. Just follow the steps laid down in this post to accomplish that.

Transferring credit from MTN to Vodafone or other networks was not possible until the introduction of  Mobile Money interoperability by His Excellency Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.

Myself for example, whenever I need Vodafone airtime, I transfer credit from my MTN MoMo wallet to my Vodafone Cash and buy the credit directly using my Vodafone cash.

How to buy Vodafone Credit with MTN Mobile Money.

We are going to get this done by

  • Buying directly from MTN Mobile Money Wallet OR
  • sending cash from MTN Mobile Money to Vodafone Cash Wallet, after that we buy credit from the Vodafone Cash Wallet.

METHOD 1.

  1. Dial *718#
  2. Choose option 2 (buy airtime/data)
  3. Choose option 1 (Airtime)
  4. Choose option 2 (others)
  5. Enter the amount you want to transfer
  6. Enter 1 to confirm
  7. Kindly dial *170#, select (6), choose 3 and enter Mobile money PIN to approve the payment.

 

METHOD 2.

If you haven’t registered Vodafone Cash yet, see HOW TO REGISTER VODAFONE CASH YOURSELF.

Steps.

  1. Dial *170#
  2. Select option 1 (Transfer Money)
  3. Select option 5 (Other Networks)
  4. Choose option 2 (Vodafone )
  5. Enter number
  6. Confirm number
  7. Enter amount
  8. Enter reference ID
  9. Enter Mobile Money PIN and tap send.

You’ve successfully sent Money to the Vodafone wallet.

Now let’s see how to buy airtime from Vodafone cash wallet.

  1. Dial *110#
  2. Choose option 3 (buy airtime and data)
  3. Choose option 1 ( buy airtime)
  4. Choose option 1 (my phone)
  5. Enter amount
  6. Enter Vodafone Cash Mobile money pin to confirm.

YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY purchased Vodafone airtime directly from your Vodafone cash wallet.
